Full Throttle Relaunched!

For those of us who can remember the club in the nineties and noughties, Full Throttle was the name of our printed physical paper magazine.

It ran to over 130 editions!

Full Throttle has arisen in electronic form and will be published, posting on our website and sending it electronically to all members.

In the coming editions Full Thottle will be featuring member profiles, ride reports, long form articles about the club’s history, feature articles on related clubs, trivia, tech tips, bike reviews and articles of interest to the members in general.

The magazine will only improve with member input and we will be expecting contributions from everyone!

All Hail Tall Paul ‘New Committee’;

‘Torquay by Boat’; ‘Damage Done’ Welcome to the August edition of Full Throttle.

This edition introduces the Club’s new Committee, profiles past President Damage, reports on the Torquay ride, and glimpses some history from ‘95/’96.

We have a few events coming up. The September Club Ride is to Maffra on the 13th, the last MotoGP is being held at Phillip Island from Friday 23rd October to Sunday the 25th (with Jimmy Barnes performing on the Saturday evening) which will attract a Club ride, the Norton Owners Club ‘Flowerdale Combined Run’ is scheduled for Sunday the 1st of November (see details later in this newsletter), and the Christmas Party in Seymour is locked in for the 5th of December.

Keep an eye on our Website and Socials for updates and further details.

What will be a shock to many, I can report that after less than 12 months operation Essendon Triumph has closed its doors

Come one, come all

‘Elections’, ‘Scary stuff’, ‘Christmas in Seymour’

Welcome to the July edition of Full Throttle.
Our next meeting will be the Annual General Meeting, to be held at the Seaford Hotel (362 Frankston – Dandenong Road, Seaford) on August 11th, commencing at 7:00pm.

Overnight accommodation is available for those who do not plan to travel home (perhaps you plan to enjoy the night a little too much or you’ll have travelled a long distance to get there).

Remember that you need to be a paid-up member (26-27) to be able to vote.

Also, that if you have any suggestions for future meeting locations, please forward these to our secretary Jon at tomccsecretary81@gmail.com

Restoration, Moving, Archive

‘Gearbox cappuccino’, ‘venue surfing’, ‘petrol bombs’
Welcome to the June edition of Full Throttle. This edition includes an
item about Ian Gabriel’s restoration of one of his Harris Bonnevilles,
another reporting the Club’s meeting location history, profiles our  Club Treasurer, and presents a couple of images from the 1992 All British Rally.

The next General Meeting of the Club is to be held at the Seaford Hotel  (362 Frankston – Dandenong Road, Seaford) on July 14th starting at the usual time of 7:00 pm. This venue will also host our AGM on August 11th, commencing at 6:00pm.

Overnight accommodation is  available if you’re wishing to enjoy the night a little too much or if coming from afar (see our website for more detail).

The venue serves as an interim measure while a more permanent one is contemplated, so if you have any suggestions, please forward these to the Secretary

Run Reports, Profile, Past Blast

Welcome to the May edition of Full Throttle. This edition reports on the Link Run to Bayles, profiles our Club President, presents a couple of photos from the past and has an extensive ‘For Sale’ section with some interesting offerings.

It also includes a report on the assemblage of distinguished gentlemen.

It was reported at the last General Meeting that the Central Hotel has been sold and it’s unclear (as I write this) whether the new owners will welcome such an impressive gathering as ours or whether our meeting venue may soon need to change.

The next scheduled meeting on the 9th of June will take place as usual but beyond that it is foggy.
